Office Friendly Sales Ahead!

The Friday feeling was sailing around the Nottingham Belfry Hotel last week as over 150 Office Friendly members and supporting suppliers interacted in a whole day of informative business sessions, inspiring speakers and a night of incredible fun.
The day kicked off with the sales trainer Chris Hughes whose humorous and positive presentation about maximizing sales effectiveness lifted the audience and put a high benchmark on the day. The sessions that followed did not disappoint with Office Friendly M.D. Steve Harrop´s presentation about branding and Linked2Success insightful view in to using the business networking site LinkedIn as a powerful selling tool. Over 20 companies who participated in this session signed up for a FREE Hands-on workshop with Linked2success taking place in the coming months.
Office Friendly sales teams indulged in the largest ever sales conference supplier exhibition. They were treated to 36 of the industry´s top manufacturers who spoke to sales teams directly about products, promotions and their company. Alongside the exhibition the ‘Friendly´ Business Development Managers ‘Stimul8ed´ small workshops with interactive discussions about selling brands.
The afternoon continued on a high with another fantastic presentation from Chris Hughes who spoke about different sales techniques to become the ultimate sales person. The day climaxed with an inspiring and emotional presentation by the former 400m champion Derek Redmond. He captivated his audience with his story of how the GB 400m relay squad overcame all odds to beat the USA team and claim gold in the World championships in 1991. He continued by filling the room with tears in his heartbreaking ordeal of how his determination motivated him with the help of his father to finish the semi finals of the Olympics even with a torn hamstring. As the business session closed many delegates spoke of how the day was becoming one of the best conferences they had ever attended.
The evening did not let down the success of the day. The air was filled with friendly laughter and chatter as the hotel served up a delicious 3 course meal. The volume was amplified when the side-splittingly funny ‘The Noise Next Door´ came on stage who entertained their audience with improv tales about toilet paper and an alien radio station. As the daring drove off to the Oceana Nightclub there concluded a very successful and worthwhile conference. How does Office Friendly top the sales conference next year?
