We aim to achieve the highest status in the So-Go-Eco Carbon reduction programme for our central organization and to subsequently improve our efforts in reducing our carbon footprint by 50% within 3 years from our current measured footprint of 87.7tC2e.
Our Key member Goal is to ensure that all OFDA members have access to the So-Go-Eco programme and ultimately achieve environmental creditation through our preferred partner, Carbon Smart:-
We will
1: To reduce our carbon footprint by 30% in the first year of the programme from the current level of 87.7tCO2e
2: Raise awareness internally through our action plan of the steps we need to take to reduce our carbon footprint
3: Communicate with our members what our target is and encourage them to participate in the 3 year programme
4: Work with our Suppliers to present our carbon reduction actions and encourage their compliance and environmental activity to be presented to both OFDA and our members
5: Work closely with our landlord (through VOW) to help reduce their carbon footprint and thus work towards our targets The action plan will be communicated to our staff, members and suppliers through use of our web site, intranet and posting on SO-GO-ECO action board in main office. The So-Go-Eco action board will show our commitments, initial action plan and the subsequent results.
Our new environmental policy will be published and shown in reception areas, in general communications and on our newly developed web-sites, and a full annual review will take place alongside quarterly action plan reviews within the sales meetings.
An Internal So-Go-Eco team consisting of key members of the office team, Katie Metcalfe, Sharon Renshaw & Chris Nichols will be responsible for the action plan implementation and subsequent reduction of our Carbon Footprint.
