Entering the category for Green Business, CTS Sales & Service, came 2nd out of 13 finalists who were selected for their pro-active approach to environmental sustainability.
Since joining the Carbon Smart ® So-Go-Eco initiative in 2008, "we have been working hard to reduce our carbon footprint" said partner Steve Crocker, adding “we looked at the business as a whole and made significant changes to minimise our impact on the environment.”
Speaking at the award ceremony, Louise Peeling said that she was "proud to receive the highly commended certificate for CTS Sales & Service" and "it was great that the judges had recognised what smaller companies with limited resources can achieve”.
The award ceremony, which took place at the Troxy, London E1, last Friday evening was aimed at recognising the achievements of local businesses, organisations and authorities in the Thames Gateway region. It was co-hosted by BBC Newsreader Louisa Preston and Broadcaster David ‘Kid´ Jensen.
