Office Friendly has launched the agenda for their annual Supporting Women in Business seminar. As part of the Entrepreneurs Festival on Friday 6th October, delegates and members are invited to immerse themselves in the "Festival of the Mind".
The seminar will focus on Corporate Social Responsibility and what people across the industry can do to improve their policies and actions. The session will include ice breakers and activities to inspire delegates to think with more socially, how to incorporate this into their businesses, and encourage mindfulness in their business.
As part of the Entrepreneurs Festival, Supporting Women in Business has a superb line up of inspirational women to lead the discussion on CSR. Michele Todd from hlw Keeble Hawson Solicitors will speak about opportunities for CSR, case studies she has worked on, and opportunities for delegates to get involved with community funding groups. Delegates will also hear from Simone Hindmarch-Bye, Co-founder of Commercial Group, and 6 industry suppliers on their CSR successes.
With networking opportunities and celebratory Prosecco lunch, attendees will pick up tips about setting their own CSR priorities, and learn how a commitment to the social side of a business can help with employee wellbeing & morale, links with your local community, and positive PR coverage.
Managing Director, Julie Hawley, says “We have a very pro-active membership when it comes to CSR and with so many success stories, we felt it useful to share them. It’s important for companies to take responsibility for the effects they have on the environment and social well being.
“There are so many ways we can do take action and we hope to encourage the members to develop their own strategies and policies along with us. It will be a fun and interesting session as always.”
Office Friendly has previously fundraised on behalf of Mind Sheffield and in 2016 rose over £3100 in donations to the local mental health organisation. Supporting Women in Business is an opportunity to pass on information about working in collaboration with worthy charities, but also to the effects of mental health in the workplace.
Other sessions and speakers as part of the Entrepreneurs Festival will include a supplier exhibition of the top brands in the industry, round table discussions of industry trends, an interactive workshop with ex-Rugby captain, Rob Vickerman, and a key note speech from Social Chain CEO Steven Bartlett. The event has been designed to be as flexible as possible so that every business can benefit.
Entrepreneurs Festival will take place Friday 6th – Sunday 8th October 2017 at The Belfry, Sutton Coldfield. You can book your place today by calling 0114 256 6300. Alternatively email firstname.lastname@example.org for a booking form and more information.
