Embracing their new direction as business development specialists, Office Friendly has announced a vibrant schedule of seminars, workshops and conferences taking place across the UK in 2018.

The calendar of events will be updated throughout the year and already has dates for your diary that are not to be missed. Adding value for both members and suppliers in the business supplies industry, the proceedings will go beyond networking to inspire business owners and their sales teams to innovate and grow.

Julie Hawley, Office Friendly Managing Director, says: “As a cooperative that has thrived for more than two decades, we know it really is better together. Our influential network and calendar of business events will nurture your entrepreneurial spirit and give you the support to go that extra mile.”

In February and March, Office Friendly will partner with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) specialists Bruce & Butler, and top industry suppliers to advise and assist members with upcoming legal changes that will affect all businesses.

As part of the GDPR programme, and regional meetings with members across the UK, Office Friendly will also welcome 3 top suppliers from the office supplies industry to meet with members. This is an opportunity to discuss how products and services can be used to assist with GDPR compliance, from data destruction to secure and encrypted storage.

On 8th March 2018, Office Friendly will host their annual Supplier Day, held at VOW’s Arrow distribution centre. Attendees will be the first to hear about exciting plans from Office Friendly, that will help both dealers and suppliers create strategic partnerships.

Wednesday 16th May 2018 will see Office Friendly’s Golf Day take place at Staverton Estate, near Daventry. Open to all Office Friendly members, suppliers and supporters, the day of golf will be celebrated with an evening meal with Paul Merson, former England footballer turned pundit.

Later this year, over 80 members of Office Friendly will have the opportunity to gain a certified accreditation by taking part in a Display Screen Equipment (DSE) training scheme. By working with an independent chartered ergonomics consultancy, members will learn an effective methodology to assess workstations and help companies comply with DSE and Manual Handling regulations.

Having taken on a new theme last year, Office Friendly’s Entrepreneurs festival returns with a new one day, one night format, full of interactive business development sessions, expert speakers, and an exhibition of top suppliers in the business supplies industry.  With a new venue too,  the 2018 festival  will be at the Hilton Hotel, St George’s Park on Friday 19th October and bookings will open in Spring 2018.
