Office Friendly is delighted to announce that Managing Director Julie Hawley has been awarded the EOPA19 Professional of the Year at the March ceremony held in Amsterdam.

The prestigious award is given to an exceptional individual who has consistently demonstrated ambition, leadership and enthusiasm for the industry. Julie was selected from a pool of renowned professionals for her energy and commercial vision. Her dedication to transforming Office Friendly’s company culture, mission, and her tenacious approach to business growth and diversification were also an important contributor to her award win.

Julie became Managing Director of Office Friendly 2 and a half years ago. She has worked in the office products industry for nearly 30 years, beginning her career as an accountant for Kingfield Heath, working under the management of Alan Hickman. She then went onto work as Finance Director at Office Friendly before being promoted to MD in 2016.

In her acceptance speech, Julie described how privileged and overwhelmed to have won the award in an industry full of professionals. She continued to mention the team at Office Friendly and thanked those who have influenced and inspired her over the years.

Gordon Profit, Chairman of Office Friendly, congratulated Julie on behalf of the board of directors and the wider membership. He continued, “this is an outstanding business achievement for Julie. Over the last few years, she and the team have built on and strengthened our relationship key suppliers and developed services such as KascAid, Office Friendly’s in-house marketing agency, and the Pioneer learning and development platform. She has built a focused team and turned around the group’s financial performance in our changing business environment.”

In the coming year, Julie will be developing Office Friendly’s sustainability programme and working hard to reach the group’s £5000 charity fundraising target.
